Who really invented the sports bra??? 😖😖


So life has gone on and slowly things are opening up and the weather is good so we can be outside and see faces we haven’t seen in 2 months.

The part of my life that I never thought I would miss after social distancing is exercise.  Especially the month and a half that I felt like road kill.  But I honestly did miss it.

We are currently doing Zoom classes.  You guessed it.  Camera - in your face - sweating - panting - red faced - 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵.   And I swear the Zoom camera adds 50 pounds.  Forget the 10 they say normally.

Next week we get to go back to a facility and get bossed around in person by our trainer.   Pretty sure he is in for a real treat.

So with this, my question is WHO INVENTED THE SPORTS BRA?

I am not going to lie and say I am an expert on sports bra’s because let’s face it, I hate exercise.  I know people that wear them every day.  AHEM.  Sorry.  I am going to lift my girls and show them proudly!!  👙👙👙👙👙 (mostly because it takes the attention away from my chins)

I have decided that “the girls” (and my eyes) probably need a little more protection when flopping around exercising so I started to look at sports bras.  Here is what I found:

- One size does NOT fit all.   Or MOST!  This may be the one item you want to splurge on.  Not just any thrift store bra will do.

- Just because you can get it over your head does NOT mean you can get it back off without your neighbors coming to help because your arms only twist so far.  And if it only goes so far, your arms may be stuck in the air until help arrives.

- If you buy one that zips in front, well.....  just don’t if you are over a B cup.  There is no way one person can push those girls together, get the zipper in place, push them back together and zip the front.  The zipper pops open, things fall all over and you work up a sweat before you ever leave your room.  AND don’t get mad, zip it first and try to get it over your head (see “best neighbor award above”)

- The packaging lies!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.   I did NOT look like the girl on the front when I finally got one over my head, girls tucked in, arranged the back so it was in place and bounced twice.  NOTHING LIKE HER!!!!

The struggle is real people!!

Where the F^*@ did summer go??

  As I am writing this it is almost the end of August and we are taking our home on wheels camping.  This is our 3rd time out (can’t count the countless hours I sat in the driveway in it because I needed  a vacation.) Our first outing was to a country music fest in Karlstad MN.  Appropriately called Kickin Up Kountry.   We went with siblings and outlaws and had a blast.  Naturally we pull up and the camper RIGHT NEXT DOOR is a classmate of mine from high school and his wife.  What are the odds.   AND It was hot out so we all know I was a sweaty mess for 3 days.   You know it’s bad when I wear a cowboy hat AND a t-shirt at the same time.  With an umbrella and a fan.   So not my fashion statement but I plan on wearing it again next year!!!   Saw my first Baja races and more men in bib shorts and cowboy boots than I care to count.  Working on Scott’s wardrobe for next year.😄😀 Our second outing was a staycation.   We camped in our hometown park.  It was so fun.  We couldn’t go home no ma

  OMG.  I can't believe it's June already.  The older I get the faster time goes and the less I seem to do. Sleeping has become one of my favorite pastimes and some nights are better than others. The other morning I had my alarm set really early because I had a meeting and needed to be ON TIME!!  Hate when that happens but that's a whole other rant.  People that show up for appts anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes early….  Not going there. So, my alarm goes off and I don’t want to wake up Scott that early.  I usually turn it off right away, hop out of bed with a smile on my face singing a song but this day I couldn't do it.   My arm was completely numb.  So I flop over and try to grab my phone.  I yank the cord out of the wall and the phone falls under the bed.  I then roll on the floor (literally) to find the phone.  Meanwhile my right arm is somewhere else and I can't find it.   By this time my alarm is getting LOUDER AND LOUDER and I want to shut it off but I need my

Beach Whales and Adorable Dolphins

As I told you in March after my exciting travels to St. Louis, I again got to do some traveling in April.   Scott and I got the opportunity to go to Los Cabos and stay at the Hilton Golf and Beach Resort.  Not going to lie, it was a tough week.    I was nervous about going thinking Scott would get bored easily…..   I was totally wrong.  We were up everyday at 6:30 to get to go and save our chairs by the pool/hot tub/swim up bar.  Then off to breakfast and back to our chairs for my morning “juice”.  My favorite flavors were either strawberry or banana with a tinge of rum.    We met some amazing new friends and one of them showed Scott how to locate the whales that were migrating.  SOOOO, while I sat in my chair sipping my juice and reading, Scott became the “WHALE WHISPERER”.   Kids were all over that.  And adults too.  He would stand in the infinity pool and point to the water.  Not sure there were whales or not but he swears they were out there and his “followers” found them too.   My
