NO WAY!! SHINGLES????






Life is sure funny sometimes.  And not always in a ha ha way!  
I am sure you are all feeling the same way.  Everyone is staying home and “bonding” with their families and trying to keep healthy. It was an adventure to begin with but.......

 What I have learned in my quarantined state:

 - Shingles HURT!!  I honestly thought I was going through puberty again.  Painful pimples all on the side of my face, by my eye and above my eyebrow (which still looks great thanks to my new “eyebrow” filler inner).  I sent a picture to my girlfriend in the medical field and she said “ You have shingles”.  WHAT????  Isn’t that only for people over 60??  Don’t you get that when you are sick??  Don’t those normally show up on your torso??  NO.....  Anyone can get them and why not on my face????  😳😳😳😳🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

 - A person can only clean so many closets and pantry’s before you can’t stand to look at them anymore.   I still have my purse closet (yes I have a purse closet) to clean but it seems like so much work and I think my couch cushion would miss me terribly if I left for that length of time.

 - Zoom Happy Hours are very fun, very inexpensive and very laid back.  Sometimes we even put on make up and a bra.  Depends on the day.  I’ve also discovered that even over the IPAD we all talk at the same time and we are all just as smart!!!😜😜😜😜😜. I should also mention I am doing my exercise class over Zoom.  How is that for dedication??  🏋️‍♂️🏋️‍♂️🏋️‍♂️🏋️‍♂️🏋️‍♂️

 - We love our spouses to the moon and back but sometimes they tend to talk, chew, breath, sigh, or look at us a little too loudly!!  I can honestly feel him roll his eyes at me from his recliner.  I guess you call that TRUE LOVE.  🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Where the F^*@ did summer go??

  As I am writing this it is almost the end of August and we are taking our home on wheels camping.  This is our 3rd time out (can’t count the countless hours I sat in the driveway in it because I needed  a vacation.) Our first outing was to a country music fest in Karlstad MN.  Appropriately called Kickin Up Kountry.   We went with siblings and outlaws and had a blast.  Naturally we pull up and the camper RIGHT NEXT DOOR is a classmate of mine from high school and his wife.  What are the odds.   AND It was hot out so we all know I was a sweaty mess for 3 days.   You know it’s bad when I wear a cowboy hat AND a t-shirt at the same time.  With an umbrella and a fan.   So not my fashion statement but I plan on wearing it again next year!!!   Saw my first Baja races and more men in bib shorts and cowboy boots than I care to count.  Working on Scott’s wardrobe for next year.😄😀 Our second outing was a staycation.   We camped in our hometown park.  It was so fun.  We couldn’t go home no ma

  OMG.  I can't believe it's June already.  The older I get the faster time goes and the less I seem to do. Sleeping has become one of my favorite pastimes and some nights are better than others. The other morning I had my alarm set really early because I had a meeting and needed to be ON TIME!!  Hate when that happens but that's a whole other rant.  People that show up for appts anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes early….  Not going there. So, my alarm goes off and I don’t want to wake up Scott that early.  I usually turn it off right away, hop out of bed with a smile on my face singing a song but this day I couldn't do it.   My arm was completely numb.  So I flop over and try to grab my phone.  I yank the cord out of the wall and the phone falls under the bed.  I then roll on the floor (literally) to find the phone.  Meanwhile my right arm is somewhere else and I can't find it.   By this time my alarm is getting LOUDER AND LOUDER and I want to shut it off but I need my

Tis That Time of Year

  Well…  the season is upon us.  Yep… the season is here!! November was a busy month for sure.  I had the joy of experiencing the BIGGEST craft show I have ever been too.  It was at Canterbury Downs in Shakopee and OMG!!   First let me preface that the 3 I went with have gone every year for 20 years.  (And no this is not them below - this is me after finishing the day.) So they knew what they were doing.  Our first night, we went to a HUGE casino and while 2 of them gambled, 2 of us walked around, got lost and drank beer.   As long as you walked around the circle, you could always find the bar.   Not sure I was very impressive by the time we went back to the hotel.     The next morning we all got up and in true Jodi fashion I was ready to go!  I have learned over the years with my husband, YOU GET UP, YOU GET YOUR CRAP TOGETHER AND YOU LEAVE.  Doesn't matter if you look like you slept in a dumpster the night before.  YOU GET IN THE CAR AND GO!!!   So I was ready when it was time to
